Interview Rooms System Requirements

Ensure your setup meets the minimum requirements for a smooth Interview Rooms experience.

Interview Rooms run entirely in the browser, so no software installation is required. However, a stable internet connection and a supported browser are essential for the best experience. This page outlines everything you need.

Internet Connection

The system automatically optimizes camera and audio quality based on your connection speed. A minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps is recommended. You can verify your speed using a tool such as Google’s speed test. For best results, pause other bandwidth-heavy activities like streaming or large file transfers during your session.

Supported Browsers

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari (iOS version 12.1 or higher)
  • Microsoft Edge (version 80 or higher)

Mobile Device Considerations

If you are joining from a mobile device, make sure both call volume and media volume are enabled so you can hear audio from the session. Wi-Fi is recommended over mobile data for a more stable connection.

Limitations

Screen sharing is available exclusively on desktop browsers. Mobile platforms do not support screen sharing at this time.

Pre-Session Testing

When you receive your joining instructions, an internet connection test is included so you can verify your setup before the session begins.
