As a medium, we believe video is perfect for consumer insight and customer feedback for a number of reasons. Firstly, you get more. In testing, respondents provided almost six times more feedback (characters) via video versus a conventional open-text response. Secondly, you get more depth. Video submissions contained over 150% as many themes as did text responses. Put another way, the majority (58%) of text responses answered only a single question or provided comment around just one theme. The statistic for video was only 14%, with the vast majority providing 2, 3, or 4 perspectives on a topic. You also get more context.
